Does TOYOGUARD Platinum1 replace ToyotaCare2?
TOYOGUARD Platinum does not replace ToyotaCare; instead, it provides additional benefits and services after ToyotaCare expires. TOYOGUARD for your gas or hybrid vehicle provides additional oil changes7 and tire rotations9. TOYOGUARD for your battery electric vehicle provides a 12-volt battery warranty.6 Both TOYOGUARD plans provide an exterior protectant4, interior protectant5 and 12-volt battery protectant6 as well as roadside assistance3 and rental care assistance8.

Extended Maintenance Coverage: Gas/Hybrid Toyota Vehicles: After ToyotaCare2 expires, you will receive 2 synthetic oil changes with filters7 and 4 tire rotations9. Must be redeemed within 5 years or 60,000 miles of original purchase, whichever first occurs. (Excludes Supra). Battery Electric Vehicles: TOYOGUARD provides an additional 2 years or 24,000 miles after the Toyota factory 12-volt battery warranty ends.
Extended Roadside Assistance3: With TOYOGUARD Platinum, you will receive further assistance on the road, 24 hours a day, for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever first occurs.
Rental Car Assistance8: If you have a warrantable concern requiring a part to be ordered, we can help. As a member of TOYOGUARD, you will receive rental car coverage for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever first occurs.

1 - TOYOGUARD Platinum (gas and hybrid vehicle) and TOYOGUARD Platinum BEV (battery electric vehicle), offered by Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC, is an optional accessory and is not a Toyota product. It includes additional benefits after ToyotaCare® expires. These benefits stay with the vehicle, and any unused benefits automatically transfer to the next owner. TOYOGUARD benefits do not apply to commercial or fleet vehicles. Coverage is valid only in the continental U.S. and Alaska. For full details and exclusions, contact your Toyota dealer. 2 - ToyotaCare covers normal factory scheduled maintenance for 1 year or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, and 24/7 Roadside Assistance is for 2 years/unlimited mileage, with the following exceptions: (1) ToyotaCare for Mirai is 3 years/35,000 miles and ToyotaCare for vehicle model years 2026 and earlier is 2 years/25,000 miles; and (2) Roadside Assistance for Mirai, Prius, Toyota BEVs and PHEVs is 3 years/unlimited mileage. Roadside Assistance does not include parts and fluids, except limited emergency gas delivery. Towing distance up to 25 miles. Restrictions apply. ToyotaCare valid only in the continental U.S.; Roadside Assistance valid in continental U.S., Hawaii and Canada. See Toyota dealer for details and exclusions.
3 - TOYOGUARD Roadside Assistance provides jump starts, tire service, fuel delivery, lockouts, limited winching and towing, all available 24 hours a day, any day, anywhere in the continental U.S. and Canada by calling 1-800-528-2054. Plan is 5 years or 60,000 miles whichever first occurs. Roadside Assistance does not include parts & fluids. Winching is limited to 100 feet from maintained roadway. Towing: we will tow your covered vehicle to the nearest Toyota dealership from your disablement site or an additional 25 miles to your preferred Toyota dealership. Fuel Delivery: we will inspect vehicle and if needed will provide up to 3 gallons of fuel. Lockout does not include key replacement.
4 - TOYOGUARD Exterior Paint Protectant is designed to help prevent premature deterioration caused by harsh weather and salt air. Warranted for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever shall occur first.
5 - TOYOGUARD Interior Protectant TOYOGUARD Protectant cutting edge nanotechnology helps your interior stay cleaner longer with anti-stain and anti-soiling properties. PROTECTS OUR ENVIRONMENT: TOYOGUARD Protectant is water-based, phosphate free, fragrance free, dye free, biodegradable and contains no VOC’s, PFOA or PFOS SAFETY: TOYOGUARD Protectant contains no ingredients that pose serious hazards. Warranted for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever shall first occur.
6 - TOYOGUARD 12-Volt Battery Protectant On the original, factory installed new vehicle battery treated with TOYOGUARD 12 VOLT BATTERY PROTECTANT, we warrant that, for a period of 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever shall occur first, from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser or odometer reading zero of the new vehicle battery treated with TOYOGUARD 12-VOLT BATTERY PROTECTANT, we will clean and retreat the affected area of the 12-volt battery if the battery posts of the battery is corroded by common hydrogen gas venting, acid venting, or electrolyte leakage of the battery (absent any damage to the battery). IMPORTANT: ONLY BATTERY POSTS ARE TREATED WITH TOYOGUARD 12-VOLT BATTERY PROTECTANT, SURFACES NOT TREATED WITH TOYOGUARD 12-VOLT BATTERY PROTECTANT ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. This Limited Warranty does not replace the battery manufacturer’s warranty. Losses covered by the manufacturer during the manufacturer’s warranty period are not covered under this Limited Warranty.
7 - TOYOGUARD Oil Changes. In addition to the ToyotaCare® scheduled maintenance, you will receive 2 synthetic oil changes with filters. Must be redeemed within 5 years or 60,000 miles of original purchase, whichever first occurs.
8 - TOYOGUARD Rental Car Assistance will be provided if you have a warrantable concern requiring a part to be ordered or over-night repairs, if rental car assistance is not provided by Toyota. The Rental Car Assistance Plan is for the first 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever first occurs. Limited to a one day rental for each qualifying repair, maximum 5 rentals per plan period. Limited to $42 per day.
9 - TOYOGUARD Tire Rotations In addition to the ToyotaCare® scheduled maintenance, you will receive 4 tire rotations (except Supra). Must be redeemed within 5 years or 60,000 miles of original purchase, whichever first occurs.
